The 2nd Fudan-SMU Global Forum
2015 will see the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Singapore, the 110th anniversary of Fudan University, and the 30th anniversary of the re-establishment of Fudan School of Economics.
 
The 2nd Fudan-SMU Global Forum, co-sponsored by Fudan University and Singapore Management University and organized by Fudan School of Economics, will be held at Fudan on April 10, 2015. The forum will focus on “Global Governance, Global Cities, Global Innovations”.
 
Among the attendees will be Academician Xu Ningsheng, President of Fudan University, Academician Yang Fujia, Former President of Fudan University and Former Chancellor of the University of Nottingham, Prof. Justin Yifu Lin, Honorary Dean of the National School of Development at Peking University and Former Chief Economist and Senior Vice President of the World Bank, Mr. Liang Xinjun, Vice Chairman and CEO of Fosun Group and President of Fudan University Alumni Association (Shanghai), Mr. Ong Siew Gay, Singapore Consul-General in Shanghai, Prof. Rajendra K Srivastava, Provost and Deputy President (Academic Affairs) of Singapore Management University, Mr. Jian Danian, Deputy Governor of Pudong New Area and Deputy Director of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone Management Committee, Prof. Lin Shangli, Vice President of Fudan University, Prof. Feng Xiaoyuan, Vice President of Fudan University, and Prof. Li Shanmin, Vice President of Sun Yat-sen University and Director of the Research Institute of Free Trade Zone at Sun Yat-sen University.
 
We will also have experts and distinguished guests from the academic, business, political communities and major think-tanks to discuss important issues such as China’s participation in global governance, national development strategies for free trade zones, Shanghai’s transformation into a global city and a technological innovation center with global influence.
